The Asia Pacific Biomedical Engineering Consortium (APBEC) was officially established at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on February 20, 2024, during the 1st planning committee meeting held on February 19-20, 2024. The event was witnessed by the presence of esteemed guests, including HKUST Provost Prof. Yike GUO and CEO of King's Flair International (Holdings) Limited, Dr. Alex WONG.
The formation of APBEC marks a significant milestone in advancing collaborative research and education in biomedical engineering across the Asia Pacific region. APBEC will serve as a platform for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to come together and address critical challenges in healthcare technologies..
During the 1st planning committee meeting, the first Executive Committee of APBEC was formed:
