APBEC 2026 Symposium Concludes Successfully in Seoul! A vibrant gathering of around 100 participants representing 14 universities across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Korea, Singapore, Japan, and Vietnam marked the event's outstanding success. The academic program was highly engaging, featuring 17 talks, 6 student presentations, and a dedicated industry session highlighting successful alumni-led businesses. The event culminated in a ceremony honouring the next generation of researchers, presenting 6 Best Presentation Awards and 10 Outstanding Poster Awards to recognize academic excellence, capping off another landmark year for the Asia-Pacific Biomedical Engineering Community!

The Asia Pacific Biomedical Engineering Consortium (APBEC) was officially established at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on February 20, 2024, during the 1st planning committee meeting held on February 19-20, 2024. The event was witnessed by the presence of esteemed guests, including HKUST Provost Prof. Yike GUO and CEO of King's Flair International (Holdings) Limited, Dr. Alex WONG.
The formation of APBEC marks a significant milestone in advancing collaborative research and education in biomedical engineering across the Asia Pacific region. APBEC will serve as a platform for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to come together and address critical challenges in healthcare technologies..
